# Search Standards and Clauses
> How the Standards Library search finds clauses and tables inside every standard you have access to, not just titles.
The search box at the top of **Standards and Codes** searches the actual clause and table content of every standard your organization has access to, not just standard titles or numbers.
## Running a search
Type a term into **Search content or documents**: a code, a keyword, or a phrase like a check name. Results update as you type.
Search by concept, not just clause number. A search for "shear" surfaces every clause and table across every standard that mentions shear, from soil testing methods to weld design provisions, useful when you know what you're checking but not which clause covers it.
## Reading the results
Results are grouped by standard. Under each standard, you'll see:
* The standard's designation, title, and status (for example `AS/NZS 4600:2018 — Cold-formed steel structures [Current]`, `Full Standard`, publish/version details)
* The **top three matching clauses or tables**, each with its clause or table number and heading, for example `5.2.6.2 Shear` or `Table 8.4.3 Shear plane surface coefficients`
* A **See more** link if a standard has more than three matches
