Calcs.com is designed to make sure you can understand and trust every calculation that's occurring. If you are unsure about a calculation, or want more information on the reasoning or assumptions behind it, simply click the label for the given line - this will open a box on the page showing the appropriate standards reference, clause, and description (reasoning) that was used for this specific line. Additionally, depending on the calculation, this will also show details for any checks or conditional formulas that may be applied to this formula. Conditional formulas will be highlighted in blue to show the currently active formula.

    The edition of each referenced standard at the check level, the governing clause or table for each result, the formula before substitution, the source of every input, and what changed between code editions. If any of these are absent, verification requires going back to the source code books rather than reading the output.
