# Projects

> Create, organise, share and recover projects, and set the defaults every new calculation inherits.

A project is the container your calculations live in. This section covers the whole life of one: creating and editing it, duplicating it as a starting point for the next job, archiving and deleting it, and getting it back when someone deletes it by mistake.

It also covers the settings that save the most time in the long run. Project defaults, preferred sections and module presets decide what every new calculation in the project starts with, so setting them once beats changing the same three fields two hundred times.

Sharing sits here too, including what a person can see and change once you have shared a project with them.
